Mariano
Rivera received in Mexico the BS (1988) and MSc (1993) degrees in
electrical engineering from the Technologic Institutes of Durango and
Chihuahua, respectively. In 1997, he received the Ph.D. degree in
Optical Sciences from the Center for Research in Optics, Leon, Mexico.
From 1989 to 1997 he was associate professor at the Electrical and
Electronic Engineering Department of ITCH, Mexico. Since 1997, he is
working at the Computer Science Department of the Center for Research
in Mathematics (CIMAT), Guanajuato, Mexico. His research interests
include the development of models and algorithms for edge preserving
regularization for problems in the areas of image processing, computer
vision and interferometric optical tests.
