- The scene is illuminated with a sinusoidal intensity pattern.
- The images of the scene are captured with a CCD camera are stored in a computed,
- The fringe pattern is generated in a computer.
- The purpose is to compute the 3-D profile of the scene from from the local phase f(x).
- The model of the images is:
m: Temporal modulation of the ensemble (instabilities, saturation, etc.)
a : Low-pass intensity variation which depends on the projected intensity profile.
b: Fringes contrast and it is related to the local reflectance (texture) in the object.
w=[w1,w2] T : fringe pattern spatial frequencies
f: Observed phase modulation (spatial fringe shifting) produced by the object z(x).
v: Temporal frequency generated when a constant phase shift.
n: Gaussian independent (in space and time) additive noise.
